To set up your registration, click on Events in the left navigation and select Go to Event Dashboard. Once the event loads, click on Registration in the sub menu. Here you can edit your registration options, such as the date and time at which your registration opens and closes, create an event code, and add text to specific further information about registration to your invitees. Start by clicking Edit from the Registration Options section. The window will load the fields that you can edit. Make sure to set your registration to open before you send out registration invitations for a seamless experience.
Within Registration Options, set up a designated email account to monitor responses from your registration email or create a customized metavent URL for your registration page. Once completed, save your changes by selecting Save Registration Options.
Another important feature in the Registration page is the ability to register Explorers (frequently known as attendees) for your event, either manually or by uploading a CSV file with your registration information.
Manually register metavent Explorers by clicking on Add New Registration button found towards the bottom of the webpage. Complete the required fields for each registration. For manually registration, you also have the ability to enable features of metavent that allow users special access and abilities as a Test User or Moderator by toggling the feature on/off.
A Test User allows an internal event user to enter the metavent Virtual Venue before the event starts to test the experience and quality of the event. Use this feature to make updates in different areas of metavent to tailor your event. Moderators have the ability to flag inappropriate comments or block users due to misconduct.
Finally, return to Registration over time to view your registration analytics, number of invites sent and the number of registered Explorers for your event. Using this data, you can continue to tailor your registration invitations to gain a higher response rate.
