First, let’s start with an overview of the metavent dashboard. We’ll start with the login process. Navigate to the URL https://creator.metavent.io. When you reach the URL you’ll enter the name and password that were sent to you by your Account Manager and click the login button.
As you enter the metavent dashboard, you’ll be presented with an overview of your analytics snapshot, your subscription information, and your upcoming events. This is your main dashboard.
On the left hand navigation you’ll see six settings:
- Dashboard
- Events
- Departments
- Users
- Subscriptions, and
- Settings
Starting from the bottom, the Settings page is where you’ll update your profile, change your password and your permissions.
Under Subscriptions, you have the ability to change your subscription level.
Users is the area in which you add users to your account, and Departments is the area in which you’ll do the same for the different teams that will be working on your event.
Events is the area in which most of your activity will take place. You can view existing events, create a new event, and manage all of your event options. Once you’re in your event, you’ll see your event dashboard, which will display your event registration data at a glance, your event summary and your event activity log.
Event Options is where you’ll create or edit your event details, your user list, and important items such as your welcome/introduction, keynote, breakout, sponsor and networking room names. These will be reflected on your agenda and throughout the metavent experience for your attendees, so it’s important to choose wisely (although don’t worry, you can come back and edit these later if you change your mind).
Event Schedule, as the name suggests, is where you create the agenda/schedule for your event, and Virtual Venue is where you’ll upload all the assets to brand your event, and ensure that the user interface is just the way you’d like it displayed.
Event Timeline is where you create due dates and key actions required before your event goes live. In addition, this is where you are able to manage all the logistics of your event and hold your stakeholders and collaborators accountable.
Registration is where you set your registration options, including URL names and registration/event code, as well as see analytics on registration. You can also add attendees here, either individually or by uploading a CSV file to add them in bulk.
Then we have the Live! Control Center, which is where you’ll control your event the day it goes live. Here you’ll see your live dashboard. From the Event Control area, you can view your live schedule and manage rooms in real time.
The Notifications page allows you to pre-configure important messages you want to broadcast to all attendees. Chat allows you to moderate chats in different rooms in real time. Questions, found in your Live! Control Center dashboard, allows you to create live questions for the event and assign them to rooms, and you can schedule audience polls by creating and editing options in the Polls page.
The Attendees dashboard gives you important insight into the behavior of your attendees, in which rooms they’re spending time, and when they were last active. It also summarizes this information for all attendees so you can see which sessions are popular and the overall flow of attendees at the event.
Lastly, the Analytics page summarizes key metrics from your event so you can use these to report back on the success of your event to key stakeholders within your organization.
