Build your event schedule using metavent. Start by clicking on Events from the main dashboard, selecting Go to Event Dashboard. From there, scroll down to Event Schedule. Under Event Schedule, you can add new sessions to your event and review a calendar view of your event day(s). Start by clicking on the red Add New Session button. A pop-up window will appear and you can now add your session information. Add your session date, start and end time, select the event room(s) you created in Event Options, and add your session title and description. Note that there are two different fields, Session Name and Session Title for Agenda. These two options give you the freedom to set different names for your event in different places. Session Name will show up on the event room description during the event. Session Title for Agenda is pretty clear in its description, as this name will only appear in your event agenda. As always, don’t forget to click Save Session for all your changes.
Once your event schedule is created, return as needed if event changes occur. To edit your Event Schedule, click on the event session in question from the calendar view in Event Schedule. Once the pop-up window appears, make your necessary changes and click on Save Session. You can also update your event session by finding the list of event sessions below the calendar view. Once you find your event, click on the pencil icon to the right of the event session in question. The same pop-up window will appear, make your changes and save your work.
Another key feature of Event Schedule is the ability to add media files for each event schedule. Therefore, if you have a video presentation to display during your keynote, networking or breakout session, you can add it here. To start, you must have an existing event session. Once that event has been saved, click on it to open once again and you will find a new button named Add Asset. Clicking on the orange button will open a new menu below the asset button. Here you can choose your video type, the media ID, the duration of your session based on the video you will add to the session, asset name (optional) and a new start and end time. For any changes, remember to always save your changes and to update your session duration (in the Assets menu) to ensure your session will remain open for the desired time.
Finally, deleting an event session couldn’t be easier. Find your desired event schedule from the event list in Event Schedule. To the right of the event session in question, you will find a trash icon, indicating a delete option. Once you click on the icon, a pop-up notification will show, asking if you want to complete the action. Once you click on OK, a confirmation message will show and your event session has been deleted.
